Band of Brothers, a men's group, meets at 7 a.m. the first and third Thursday of every month at Nativity Lutheran Church. Men of all ages are welcome to gather for Eucharist, fellowship, bible study and other topics of interest. Pastor leads the group in exploring the many challenging aspects of being male in the 21st Century.
Tabitha's Hand
Tabitha's is a group of ladies that either knit or crochet lap quilts for Nursing Homes. Come share needlework time with friends every Friday of the each month (except 3rd Friday, newsletter assembly), 10:00am in Pastor's study (no, he isn't there!) Beginners are welcome as we have lots of pros who will help & give you guidance in your work.
Mission Quilters
The Mission Quilters meet every Tuesday at 9:30am - 11:30am in the loggia. They tie together quilt tops and bottoms that have been assembled by volunteers and enjoy social time with each other. You don't need any special talent to come. The finished quilts get sent to the Lutheran World Relief. Last year, our ladies completed 174 quilts. Go, Ladies!
If you are not able to come but would still like to help, there are other ways to assist the quilters. We need fabric, new & slightly used, can be sheets, tablecloths, or clothing. We need cutters, you can pick up the fabric from the church, take it home & cut squares at your convenience. We need sewers, once the fabric is cut, the squares need to be sewn together.
