Pia Heiser
"Every child enrolled in our school is one of my children."
Pia Heiser, Director at Nativity Lutheran School, was born, raised and educated in Germany. She came to Nativity in 2001 with more than 13 years of experience in teaching, developing and executing quality early childhood programs. Mrs. Heiser had been the Program Manager for the Head Start Program in Homestead and Florida City for the past eight years prior to coming to Nativity.
Her area of expertise includes early childhood development, health, nutrition and mental health. Prior to Head Start, Mrs. Heiser taught at the Stride Rite Intergenerational Center in Cambridge, MA where she was able to teach creatively and learn about the benefits of bringing children and elder together. Mrs. Heiser was one of the first to take a graduate class of "Intergenerational Studies" at Weelock College in Boston, MA.
Mrs. Heiser left the Stride Rite Center in 1994 as the Business Manager. Mrs. Heiser holds the National Administrator Credential and the Advance Level Directors Credential. She has been married for more than 18 years and together they have two boys.
